Joy is a vibrant and energetic speech pathologist with a passion for helping children unlock their communication potential. She graduated in 2017 from Curtin University with a Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology and has since dedicated her career to supporting children and families through personalized and compassionate care.
With experience in private practice and not-for-profit organizations, Joy has worked extensively with children across a wide range of areas, including speech, language, literacy, and complex communication needs. She takes pride in tailoring therapy programs to suit the unique needs of each child, often incorporating a blend of evidence-based approaches such as play-based therapy, Hanen strategies, and DIR/Floortime techniques.
Joy strongly believes that therapy should be fun, engaging, and empowering for both children and their families. She works collaboratively to create a positive and supportive environment where children can thrive.
Joy has a particular passion for supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, utilizing relationship-based approaches to foster meaningful connections and encourage communication development.
In addition to her expertise in speech pathology, Joy is multilingual, speaking English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Bahasa Malaysia, and Hakka. Her ability to communicate across languages allows her to connect with diverse families and provide culturally sensitive care.
When she’s not working, Joy enjoys exploring new activities, spending time with loved ones, and finding ways to bring creativity and joy into her daily life.
